Have eaten here twice. Service is ok in the bar area. Have not eaten in the dining room area. They are quick to come by initially but afterwards they can be spotty. The burgers are good, big, and juicy. The mac and cheese is a nice change in side options. Have had the sliders and the smokey burger. Side salad and soup is a good deal, too, around 7 bucks. The Foxbarrel Cider is also nice and crisp. Have been there during lunch only and is never too packed. Parking on the street can be difficult being that it is located downtown.

This place was a nice surprise. We had a late lunch on a Saturday and there were only a few other people there. The service was exceptional and very courteous. The food was excellent. It arrived fast hot. Mac & cheese is a side selection. It's baked in its own casserole dish. It would be hard to beat! The only reason I didn't give this 5 is that it's ANOTHER sports bar. There was a Bose speaker above us loudly playing a basketball game that didn't match the large TV near us playing baseball. Music would have been much nicer. Nobody was watching the TV's. Other than that, this is s great place.

We had a nice experience on our first visit. So much so my daughter came back the next night for the boneless wing special. There are two parts to Jersey's, the First Ave side is an L-shaped bar with a sports bar theme, something CR never seems to have enough of. If that's not your scene, go across the hallway you will find a more formal dining room including a private cove for a small party. You get the same good food at bar & grill prices. They have some good daily specials, such as 50-cent wings, 60-cent tacos and drink specials.

In and out once or twice for the godaddy xmas party (SHOTZ!) because they charge an obscene amount for drinks at the Doubletree. Split between two dining areas, Jerseys is absolutely a sports bar in every sense. Plenty of screens to watch your stick and ball games and a standard pub/bar fare menu. Place is mostly clean but has a cozy vibe due to the massive columns that split the actual bar into segments. I've heard mostly good things about the food and our server was quick on her toes, enough to handle our changing blob of a group every time we ran over from the convention center. Full liqour and your typical beer and wine choices. Mostly focus on domestics - lite beers and all - but a decent amount of flavored liquors for your cocktail needs. I need to go back for food service for a full review...someday I'll stop by for lunch. Three stars. Nothing stands out either bad or good about this one. Its really up to you to decide if you like the vibe of the place.

Service took over an hour. Food was burned and cold. Wings were put in a pool of what I think was sauce.

Have went to jerseys several times for lunch because it is convenient. On the dining side of the place, I felt abandoned by the waitstaff. Drink refills overlooked, and when the server did notice them, refills took a long time. Salad had wilted, lettuce, but toppings were ok. I'll probably continue coming because it is convenient, but it is definite not my first choice for lunch in downtown CR.

Yesterday a small group (5) from work went to Jerseys for lunch. Most of the restaurants downtown have quick lunches. Jerseys is not one of those places. Even though the restaurant was practically empty service was slow. We waited fifteen minutes for drinks. We ordered nachos that came without a way to serve them. Three of our group ordered Buffalo Chicken Wraps- they came with next to no chicken on them. One of them had a huge chicken bone in it. When he started to tell the server she wasn't listening and just kept on talking. She then said she would tell the manager. They did take $3.00 off his meal- which he didn't finish because of the bone. The manager should have come out and apologized or at the very least acknowledged the issue, but he did not. Our half hour lunch took well over an hour. We will not be back.

I was excited to try a new place downtown for lunch today. Boy was I disappointed! Four of us went for lunch from work and it took us 40 minutes to get our lunch. We ended up having to get it boxed up before we could even eat because it took so long and our lunch hour was up. It appeared that there was only one person serving tables and she was overworked. I'm a vegetarian and was happy to see that they had veggie burgers for their burger option. What I got was something subpar, burned and without the toppings of the burger I had ordered. The burger had an OK flavor but was really just a veggie burger on a bun and nothing more. I would not recommend going to this restaurant if you have any place to be in the next 2 hours or if you are a vegetarian options are subpar.

Stopped in too watch the Hawkeyes and had a great time. Our table of 7 had our own little nook to watch the game. Great cheese fries for apps. Fried tenderloin, crispy chicken sandwich and Mac n cheese all got great reviews. Our server, Megan, was excellent!

Had an awful experience here. It took an hour and half to get our food, and then it was cold and over cooked. Will not be going back.

Was referred here by a hotel for best pizza in the area. Didn't ask if the area meant the block where no one else serves pizza. Thin crust meat pizza was not thin and had about as much meat as an anorexic gopher. Wings were ok. Beer was great! Pizza blew!

GREAT hamburger. Fries were above good but not great (could have been crispier). Beer was cold. Marissa was a great waitress. We'll be back.

Even though I live in NYC, I'd given up hope on having good pizza since going gluten free. Jerseys renewed my faith in gluten free pizza. Considering moving just to become a regular.

This place has a few things going for it, more than a few things going against it. I'll start with the positives. The joint is comfortable and clean. The service is very friendly and prompt. My one and only complaint, unfortunately, is a key one. The food, while not bad, is the most featureless and bland I believe I've ever had. I've been here twice now with the same impression. It might be a decent enough place for a beer and to watch a game but the food requires a huge dose of creativity to be elevated to adequate bar food.

I was under the impression that this place had a dining room separate from the bar. I took my family in there (teenagers and a 7yr old) Within minutes there was a lady yelling at nobody in particular and the staff was watching her laughing. Of course we were seated next to her, thanks "hostess". The food took well over an hour to come out and the aggressive lady calmed down but the wafting smell of Vomit and old beer kicked up. When our food came it was mediocre. I didn't have high expectations because it was a bar but the food was very bland. I would not recommend this place to anyone, unless your looking to get drunk in downtown Cedar Rapids. Parking stinks, but the building itself is cool. It's a shame it's not managed better.

Do not go here. The food isn't that great, and even if it was stellar, it is SO SLOW. I've gone here several times, and I was always there for at least an hour and a half to two hours, even if it's just me and one other person. And only 10 minutes of that time was spent eating. It's just miserable; I'm not sure what the deal is.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is really nice (except for the "fine residents" of the Roosevelt meandering through...). Exposed brick, big windows, friendly staff. The food I've had here has been just okay. A few minor changes and some attention to detail from the kitchen could really bump it up a notch. Example: ordered the special for lunch, turkey and bacon club. The bread tasted like Wonder Bread and was hardly toasted, crummy American cheese single as the cheese, the mac and cheese was lukewarm (probably because they just microwave it to order I would assume) and the pickle looked like it got caught in a sink drain before it was served. It's the little things peeps! I would come back here if someone suggested it, but I don' t know that I would be terribly inclined to come back on my own.

The food was just fine, sandwiches were actually very good, and a large amount of food. The girl who was our waitress was top-notch. Dark hair, height-challenged girl... she rocked our 15-top without a blink. ~ The only negative thing was that we called two weeks prior and let them know we'd be there, but they just weren't ready... they stuck us in a corner and there were some people who, when they had to get up from the table, six people had to get up and let them out. Kind of silly... I would definitely recommend this for small get togethers, even larger I guess, just make sure they're ready for you. Call before arriving to confirm...
